Terms of use

Last updated 11 October 2026

By playing Nairobi Life you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.

The game

Nairobi Life is a free game about everyday life and money in Nairobi. All money, wages, prices, loans and savings in the game are made up. They have no real value, can't be bought or cashed out, and aren't financial advice.

Your account

  • You can play as a guest for a limited time. After that you need to sign in with Google to keep playing.
  • Guest progress that isn't saved by signing in is deleted about an hour after your last visit.
  • Keep your Google account secure. You're responsible for what happens while you're signed in.
  • One life per account. Don't create accounts to get around limits.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. Deleting it can't be undone.

Playing fair

  • Don't cheat, exploit bugs, or tamper with the game, its servers or other players' accounts.
  • Don't use bots or scripts to play for you, or overload the servers.

We may reset progress, or suspend or remove accounts, that break these rules. Signed-in accounts are tied to a private, verified email so abuse can be traced to the person responsible.

User content and advertising

Signed-in players may buy Credits (real money via Paystack) to place ads on in-game billboards. Credits are not Bobs and cannot be cashed out as game currency. Ads you post must be lawful, not misleading, and not spam, scams, adult content, or impersonation. Other players can report ads; repeated reports may auto-hide them, and we may remove ads or ban accounts that break these rules.

The service

The game is provided as it is, while it's being built. Features may change, and progress may be reset if we have to. We'll try to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and continuing to play means you accept the new version.
